Do not sell or share my personal information

Anchorcost is paid when it passes an enquiry to a home improvement company. Under California's Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws in other states, that counts as selling and sharing personal information. This page is how you tell us to stop.

How to make the request

Email PLACEHOLDER, [email protected] not yet created with the subject line Do Not Sell, from the email address you used on the form, and include the phone number you submitted so we can find the record.

We will confirm within 15 business days and complete the request within 45 days. You will not be charged, and nothing on this site will work differently for you afterwards. The calculators never required an account and never will.

You do not need an account, an app, or to answer questions about why. If you would rather have someone act for you, an authorised agent can make the request on your behalf with written permission.

What this does

• We stop passing your details to any contractor or lead network.
• We turn off Google Analytics for you. California treats disclosing data to an analytics provider that could be used for cross-context advertising as "sharing", so it is covered by this request even though we run no ads and have advertising features switched off. You can also do this yourself at any time from the banner, and if your browser sends Global Privacy Control it is already off.
• We flag your record so a later submission does not re-open the sharing.
• If you also ask us to delete, we remove everything except the minimum record of your original consent, which we are required to retain to defend a potential claim.

What it cannot do

We cannot recall an enquiry already delivered. If a company already has your details, ask them directly to delete them and to stop contacting you. We will tell you exactly who received it and when, so you know who to ask.

The same address handles requests to see what we hold, get a copy, correct it or delete it. Those are set out in the privacy policy.

Browser opt-out signals

We honour the Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal we treat it as an opt-out for that browser, with no email needed, and it takes effect in two places at once.

• Analytics never starts. Google Analytics storage stays denied and you are not shown a consent banner, because prompting someone who has already opted out to opt in is not a real choice.
• Enquiries are stored but never shared. We only collect contact details at the moment you submit the form, so a GPC signal present at submission means the record exists for our own compliance obligations and reaches no contractor.
