What this site is

Anchorcost publishes free cost calculators for home improvement work, and connects people who want that work done with companies who do it. We are not a contractor. We do not perform, supervise, warrant or insure any of the work described on this site.

The estimates are estimates

Every figure on this site is directional. The calculators apply published national cost ranges to the answers you give, and each page names the sources it used. They cannot see your house.

Real prices move on things a calculator cannot know: the condition of what is already there, access, local labour rates, permit requirements, what the market is doing that month, and what a contractor finds once work starts. A written quote from a contractor who has visited the property is the only figure you should rely on for a financial decision.

We publish these numbers in good faith and correct them when we find them wrong, but we do not warrant that any estimate is accurate, and we are not liable for decisions made on the strength of one.

Companies we introduce you to

Contractors and lead networks who receive your enquiry are independent businesses. We do not employ them, control them, or supervise their work.

Listing or introduction is not an endorsement or a guarantee of quality, licensing, insurance or price. Before you hire anyone, verify their licence and insurance yourself, get the scope and price in writing, and take more than one quote. Any contract you sign is between you and them, and any dispute is between you and them.

Using the site

You agree not to:

• Submit anyone's details but your own, or details you are not authorised to give
• Submit information you know to be false
• Scrape, copy or republish the calculators, the cost data or the page content
• Attempt to disrupt the site or interfere with anyone else's use of it
• Use automated means to submit the form

Our content

The calculators, cost models, written content and design are ours and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read them, share links to them, and quote them with attribution. You may not reproduce them wholesale or build a competing tool from them.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Anchorcost and PLACEHOLDER, LLC not yet formed are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or the cost of work you commissioned in reliance on an estimate. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of PLACEHOLDER, state of formation, without regard to conflict of law rules.
